REVIEWER GUIDELINES

The "Applied Journals of Management and Administration" relies on the expertise and dedication of reviewers to maintain the quality and integrity of the research we publish. We deeply appreciate the time and effort reviewers invest in providing thorough and constructive feedback. To assist reviewers in their important role, we have outlined the following guidelines:

  1. General Responsibilities

      Timeliness

  • Reviewers should complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe, typically within 2-4 weeks. If additional time is needed, please inform the editorial office as soon as possible.

      Confidentiality

  • Manuscripts under review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss with third parties, or disclose any information from the manuscript, except with the journal’s permission.

      Conflict of Interest

  • Reviewers should declare any potential conflicts of interest that might bias their opinions. If a conflict of interest exists, the reviewer should decline the review invitation.
  1. Review Criteria

      Relevance and Originality

  • Assess the significance and originality of the manuscript. Does it contribute new knowledge or insights to the field of management and administration?

      Structure and Clarity

  • Evaluate whether the manuscript is well-organized and clearly written. Is the research question clearly defined? Are the objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions logically presented?

      Methodology

  • Review the appropriateness and rigor of the research methods. Are the study design, data collection, and analysis methods sound and well-executed?

      Results and Interpretation

  • Examine the validity and reliability of the results. Are the findings accurately presented and supported by the data? Is the interpretation of the results reasonable and well-founded?

      Literature Review

  • Check the adequacy of the literature review. Does the manuscript provide a comprehensive overview of relevant previous research? Are the references current and pertinent?

      Ethical Considerations

  • Ensure that the research adheres to ethical standards, including proper handling of data and respect for the rights and confidentiality of research participants.
  1. Providing Feedback

      Constructive Criticism

  • Provide specific and constructive feedback aimed at improving the manuscript. Highlight both strengths and areas for improvement.

      Detail and Specificity

  • Offer detailed comments that are specific to sections of the manuscript. Avoid vague statements; instead, provide clear and actionable suggestions.

      Tone and Professionalism

  • Maintain a professional and respectful tone. Comments should be objective and focused on the content, not the author.
  1. Recommendation

      Reviewer's Decision

  • Reviewers are asked to make one of the following recommendations:
    • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication with minor or no revisions.
    • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes but is fundamentally sound.
    • Major Revisions: The manuscript needs substantial improvements before it can be reconsidered.
    • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.

      Justification

  • Provide a clear rationale for your recommendation. This helps the editor make an informed decision and assists the authors in understanding the basis for your feedback.
  1. Ethical Responsibilities

     Objectivity

  • Reviews should be conducted objectively, without personal bias. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

      Acknowledgment of Sources

  • Identify any relevant work that has not been cited by the authors. Any observation that has been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation.

      Plagiarism

  • Report any substantial similarity or overlap with other published work to the editor.
  1. Communication with Editors
